Halloween Celebration
On October 29, 30, 31, foreign language teachers held a traditional celebration of Halloween at Vinnytsia Technical Applied College. The second-year students held costume workshops “Making Halloween Pumpkin” for the first-year students. The seniors demonstrated and told juniors how to carve a pumpkin-lantern in the style and traditions of the Halloween holiday. And of course, everything was in English. The students also participated in various competitions and contests: “Guess the Word”, “Clean the Pumpkin Seeds” (peeling pumpkin seeds) and “Halloween is here” association competition in a playful way. The “Scary Party” was also held in a playful style, where students demonstrated a fun fashion show of traditional costumes that are usually worn during the holiday. There were competitions in reading tongue twisters in English, “Magic Box” - guessing a mysterious potion and a fun exercise.
Halloween is an ancient Celtic holiday that is now very popular in the United States, Great Britain and Ireland.
